Batman & Bill is a feature length documentary film that focuses on the creation of 'Batman' and it's uncredited co-creator, Bill Finger. The film examines Bill's life and relationship with Bob Kane, and questions intellectual property rights between one who invents an idea, and one who receives credit for it. This film was released on Hulu in 2017, and is viewable for active subscribers.
For this project, I was part of the Animation/ Texturing team. My role was to create and texturize several animation scene inserts, that are used as storytelling agents for past and present events described by the narrator. The style of these mimic the look of an old comic book and ink print. Additionally, I was tasked with compositing scene elements, adjusting drawings/ illustrations, changing illustration colors/ outlines, and updating existing scene animations.
